Fungi Identification

I began my Fungi of Kilworthy project thinking I would just be painting some interesting mushroom shapes. Was I wrong! This weekend I took over 200 pics while tromping through the bush where I grew up. My hubby and mom scouted the area as I snapped pics of some pretty spectacular organic sculptures (for lack of a better word) I have ever seen.
The colours enhanced by the rain were electric in some cases and serene and muted I others. I spent quite a bit of time selecting the ones I will put on canvas and I would like to put a name to their species.
If anyone out there can connect me to a Fungi expert I would appreciate the help.
My goal is to have the Harvest Moon Exhibit ready for this fall. A moonlight walk through the bush with stops along the way to enjoy the artwork that represents the hidden beauty in the bush.
With this said does anyone know what this is?

  1. Hi Michelle, I have no idea what genus these are but they’re fabulous! The show subject(s) and timing are brilliant – I’m looking forward to your show! Audrey

  2. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a co-worker who was doing a little
research on this. And he actually ordered me lunch simply because I
found it for him… lol. So let me reword this….

Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending some time to discuss this issue here on your site.
